holiday in hayward
Tuesday, December 25th, 2007 | family
We arrived in Hayward early afternoon on Christmas eve. Olive and papa went out cross country skiing on the “birkie”, actually some loops off of the main trail at hatchery park trail. Olive is a natural skier, she has the rhythm of poles and skis pretty good. When she falls she laughs, and kindly asks for help if she can’t get back up herself.
When we got back, Sy and nana were with friends at Karbs, and we joined them for a bit before we retired to the apartment for the evening. Each put a shoe on the windowsill. We had a great night of sleep, then…
In the morning some stockings had appeared, plump with goodies. Here are the two sorting out the loot that appeared in stockings overnight. The shoes on the windowsill were empty.
Sy had to sample the hot cocoa ASAP. Now we’re off for more sledding and skiing before meeting another part of the family later…
